I ask because in my washing machine, laundry would used to go "off" pretty fast--but when I had to sanitize it (don't ask!), that stopped happening so fast. Most machines have a reservoir of water in them, and my theory is that that water gets contaminated over time. So, hubby was left to fend for our son and himself all week..I left my house early Sunday morning because I had to work an 8 hr shift prior to driving 6 hours to the Academy.
