That's what I'm doing today with some sandals I got my son at the end of April, and they're starting to break already. Technically it's a quality issue, shoes shouldn't break like that so soon. I always keep the box and the receipt for about 3-6 months. We used it for many minor repairs while canoe tripping, most significantly to patch up a hole a chipmunk or squirrel chewed through a backpack to get at the food inside.
