Modern Ways to Save Money

As a frugal conscious person living in today's modern world, I am very appreciative of the fact that today's technology and specifically the Internet allows me even more ways to save money than were open to us in the past. Here's a few ways the Internet can help you save money in 2017.

Save differently.
I know how challenging it can be to put away money to savings when cash is short and you can't find many ways to save. This 52 Week Saving Challenge is based on the idea that it's hard to find money to set aside to save, so it starts you off small- just one dollar put into savings the first week, two weeks the next. Because of the gradual way in which you are putting aside money you don't feel a big hit to your wallet. Instead gradually you learn to spend less and less money so you have what to put in savings but by the end of the year you will have saved a lot of money.

Taking Care of Loans
If you have loans, you know how difficult it can be to get ahead when so much of your income is spent on debt repayments. There are a few ways to minimize these payments while still paying off your debt- switch to peer-to-peer lending which are lower interest rates since they aren't being given by mega-corporations taking a large cut for themselves. If you have student loans there are many student loan companies that refinance yours at lower interest rates. If you had cosigners, refinancing also may have the benefit of releasing them from the loan. Debt support is available if you find yourself in financial difficulties.

Staying Fit
If you're trying to stay fit but need some accountability beyond just watching YouTube videos, signing up for online gyms such as GaiamTV and YogaToday can be lower cost than going to the gym and since they can be done from home you get to save babysitting fees.

Frugal Shopping
Lastly if you're an online shopper, before purchasing first check out deal sites to make sure that you are paying the lowest price possible for these purchases.

Best thing about all these? Frugal tips that work for busy people and can be applied from the comfort of your own home.
